If you want to change your Cyberpunk 2077 language settings and use your local language instead, follow the instructions available in this guide.
English is supported in all regions (voiceover and closed-captioned text). However, there are certain language support limitations on consoles depending on the region selected when you bought the game. We’ll talk about that later on.
How do I change the language in Cyberpunk?
You need to change the audio or subtitle language before entering the game. Go to Settings, select the Language option and select your preferred language. The language button is not available during gameplay.
Use the game settings
You can change the Cyberpunk language settings directly from the game’s menu.
- Go to the main menu, and select Settings.
- Then click on the Language tab.
- You’ll find three options there: Audio, Subtitles and Interface.
- Select the option you’re interested in and use the left and right arrow to select a different language.
- Hit Apply to save the changes.
Steam
- Exit Cyberpunk, go to Steam and navigate to your game library.
- Right-click on Cyberpunk 2077 and select Properties.
- Then click on the Language tab and select the language you want to use.
- Wait until Steam finishes downloading the respective language pack.
- Once the download completed, you can change Cyberpunk’s UI language.
How do I change the subtitle language in Cyberpunk?
If you want to change only the subtitle language in Cyberpunk, go to the main menu, select Settings, and then select the Language tab. Highlight Subtitles (the second option on the list) and select a different language. There are 18 subtitle languages you can choose from.

If you purchased a digital copy of the game, keep in mind that digital downloads are attached to the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store region where you bought the game form. Double-check this information before you buy the game. Changing the region after purchasing the game won’t change the language settings.
